OSMOTIC SYSTEMS ARE RELIABLE BUT REQUIRE MAINTENANCE
To maintain the performance of reverse osmosis membranes over a long period of time, care for it is necessary. Classical reverse osmosis systems consist of a pre-filter system that purifies water from large impurities and chlorine, as well as the reverse osmosis membrane itself, which is very susceptible to chlorine. Storage tanks for household filters usually contain up to 10 liters of purified water. After prolonged storage, any water in any container has the risk of acquiring odors and flavors. To prevent unwanted effects, absolutely all reverse osmosis systems are equipped with a carbon post-filter. This is the final stage of water filtration. At this stage, granular activated coconut charcoal inside a small cartridge eliminates unpleasant aftertaste and odors, improves the color of the water. After the finish stage, the water becomes truly fresh and tastes good.
